What's New:

The area in which the DDV Ranch is located is facing an ongoing drought. The drought is the worst ever recorded in Texas history. Despite seeing rain in the area, we've seen very little at the ranch itself. Thus, we face serious issues growing grass and have two of our four ponds completely dry at this time. We hope for rain soon to refill the ponds, close the huge cracks in the land and get the grass back to its more natural green color.

Terms of Sale & Delivery

Terms of Sale:

Most cattle on the ranch are available for sale.

Cattle may be purchased using cash or personal checks (note a copy of your drivers license must be provided with check purchases.). We do not accept credit cards or Pay Pal. All cattle purchases must be paid in full prior to the animals being loaded for haul away/delivery.

If you would like to secure a particular animal but are unable to pick up the animal immediately, we can arrange boarding on our ranch, the cost is $10 per day (cost due to the high cost of hay during this drought). Further, to hold an animal your deposit of 35% of the full price is required to have us no longer market that animal. The next 30% is due two weeks after the initial deposit, and the final payment two weeks later. Boarding costs will begin accruing on the 29th day after the initial deposit for the animal is placed.

We do not charge boarding costs if you have paid for delivery and we are unable to deliver within 28 days, but will charge fees if you are unable/unwilling to accept deliver before or on the 28th day.

When we are delivering an animal where deposit is placed, additional payments are due as per the schedule above, however the cattle must be paid in full prior to their leaving our ranch.

When we arrange delivery by a third party, full payment is due at least one business day prior to the third party hauling company loading the cattle.

Delivery Information:

For delivery within Texas, and more specifically within 300 miles each way we can deliver. We will charge $2.00 per loaded mile. Miles will be determined by driving he route indicated as the quickest to use (based on Google Maps). Tolls will be added to the mileage charges.

Hauling will take place only after the cattle are paid in full. Additionally for distances over 100 loaded miles a deposit of 1/2 the hauling charge is due at the time of cattle payment to guarantee the hauling trip date.

All hauling is subject to weather delays where the weather puts the animals or hauling crew at risk of dangerous driving conditions. In the event of weather delays we will work with you to arrange an alternative delivery time.

We can arrange for delivery via a third party for animals to any of the lower 48 states. Costs and payment terms will be discussed by the buyer and hauler. We will reasonably work with the hauler to arrange expedient loading of animals to get them to you.
